I have had a life long curiosity about the universe and our place in it. Initially this curiosity led me to study the physical sciences concentrating on Biology. I graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor’s degree in financial accounting and from Pace University with a Master’s Degree in information technology. I was a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Malaysia for 2 years, then eventually received a position as a Budget Director for the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) where I worked for 15 years. Then I went into management consulting working for companies like Deloitte Consulting, Hewlett Packard and Computer Science Corporation as a Program Director installing software for clients such as the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army, General Motors and Becton Dickinson. However, my passion was always metaphysics. During my Peace Corps days, I started reading the Complete Works of Vivekananda, Psychic Experiments Behind the Iron Curtin and various books about Edgar Cayce. When I returned to New York from Malaysia I discovered a Vedic Center in Manhattan and studied under a Vedic Monk for 12 years. During my United Nations days, a staff member of mine gave me a copy of A Course in Miracles. I read it many times when I was travelling to projects around the world. When I was liberated from work (I do not like the expression retired), I decided to move to Antigua, Guatemala and for two years I conducted a class for adults on A Course in Miracles and eventually wrote a small 60-page book, The Essence of A Course in Miracles. Eventually I decided to return to university and study metaphysics. I searched and searched and discovered the University of Metaphysical Sciences. Now that I have completed my studies with UMS, I will be reaching out to the Force for direction as to what I will do next. He enrolled in UMS, finished the 80 courses and began a two year journey of study and research in the fields of “Spiritual Intelligence and The Intuitive Thought Processes” Upon completing his Master’s degree, he began another two year journey researching and writing his Doctoral Dissertation, hoping to show that the root cause of stress is fear and why a holistic approach for coping is preferable to an allopathic one.

I plan to continue my journey for knowledge, earn my PhD in Transpersonal Counseling, and become a certified community/clinical herbalist. With the rise of COVID-19 in 2019, my spiritual journey began. Seeing the effects of COVID on family and friends made me realize how fragile life was. During that uncertain time, I began to wonder why I exist and I found solace in spirituality. I saw that people were feeling disconnected from each other, both physically and spiritually and I knew that life was changed forever. I chose to help others and I believed being a Licensed Psychologist was my only chance to impact lives. Although psychology helps people, it did not fulfill me spiritually. I didn’t like the one-size-fits-all approach. I felt that approach didn’t value individuals, and that bothered me. However, Carl Jung’s works drew my attention during my PhD, and as a result, many doors opened for me. Jung’s theories and spiritual approach connected with me. I couldn’t pursue my PhD. programs because it didn’t align with my philosophy. I decided to pursue a spiritual path instead. Since then, I have become a certified hypnotist. I am also an end-of-life Douala and a level 2 Reiki practitioner. Now, I want to finish my Doctor of Divinity degree. This will allow me to assist others on their spiritual journey.

I am Jeremy (Ju) Huang from Malaysia. I hold a Doctor of Divinity from University of Metaphysical Sciences with a written thesis entitled “A No-Mind Understanding on Human Consciousness: Its Impact on Life Purpose.”
I am currently working on an extended study and research based on my earlier Master and Doctoral Thesis, with a particular interest in exploring the maxim “As Above, So Below.” This involves a study on a probable correlation between The Qabalah Tree Structure and the Natal Birth Chart. I hope this study brings an important correlation to help catalyze human “awakening” through his or her unique understanding of “Knowing Thyself.”
As an aspiring author and writer, the initial finding appears promising for a significant “breakthrough.” The result findings would be made available as additional, complementary writing content materials for the compilation of a new book for future publication.

The expansion of knowledge I’ve gained from my coursework will be a reference I’ll return to often. An incredible vast spectrum of subjects, that I would never have even considered to study, if not for this degree I engaged upon. The variance of study subjects has allowed me to, step back in a sense, as they opened up a greater general knowledge of various spiritual idealisms, that I found to give me a grounding of profound insight and clearer understanding of subjects that I had little or no prior real knowledge about. I feel this will ease me into conversations with those of different spiritual backgrounds, instead of just assuming what their faith or ideology is about.
The meditations and spiritual exercises have had a profound effect on me. Such beautiful and deeply emotional healing took place, so not what I had expected would have occurred. At times they pulled at my heartstrings, but in such a gentle manner. I uncovered great deep-seated old wounds, which I had thought I’d managed to heal, and of course, these old scars are still within and most likely always will be, but the meditations and spiritual exercises helped unravel a little deeper and finally clear-up some old debris that needed to be removed. If nothing else, these spiritual exercises have allowed amazing energy to shine through and this has given me such peace and inner-strength to move onto my purpose in life.

Richard J. Kajuth, MLS, EdS, DD, has been a student of both Western and Eastern religions and their metaphysics all his adult life. As a consequence of his study of Eastern philosophy and religion and in combination with his literary skills, Richard has had the opportunity to edit works of Hindu spirituality, most notably as the editor of Swami Mukundananda’s 2013 commentary on the Bhagavad Gita as well as other works on yoga meditation. As a certified yoga teacher, he has also conducted sessions in meditation and the study of Yoga ethos through the lens of the Yamas and Niyamas. Rob Katz holds a Civil Engineering and a master’s degree in commerce (Information Technology) from the University of Cape Town. Joan Kavanagh is a registered nurse, college educator and writer dedicated to helping healthcare students succeed. She earned a Registered Nursing Diploma on the dean’s list with honors from Conestoga College and a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from Brock University before studying with the University of Metaphysical Science. She worked in the areas of pediatrics, long term care and teletriage nursing before becoming an educator.
Alison J. Kay’s PhD as a Philosopher of Holistic Life Coaching comes as a culmination of years of studying holistic health, wellness and healing. A practitioner of meditation for 19 years, a meditation teacher for 6 years, a Chi Gong instructor for 5 years, a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher taught in India and certified as a teacher of Ashtanga Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama, and Chanting last year, an ACE certified Personal Trainer, and an active longevity, raw foodist and vegetarian for 18 years, Alison is also a practicing Reiki Master and attuned practitioner of another energy medicine from Tibet for 12 years while working with a variety of other energy medicine techniques. Pamela Latour has spent twenty years in the Holy Land and Europe exploring the secrets of life. This exploration began in France and took her to the Middle East. My name is Moninda, a former professional runner and a current student pursuing a masters degree in social work. My journey through the University of Metaphysics has been both touching and transforming. I can give an analogy to represent the life lessons have learned though my journey at UMS. A tree does not eat it’s own fruits, it feeds both animals and humans who in return gives back manure and security to the tree. Our talents, gifts and work must be guided by the service for others. Debra Ann Morgan has been of service to others as a dental hygienist for forty years. Working one-on-one with her patients she acquired the tools of empathetic observer and mindful listener. With her certification as a Reiki Master, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Doctor of Divinity she focuses her passion towards transformational and transitional spiritual guidance. Her definitive work will be to assist those who are passing over into their soul awareness with end of life care and support. She volunteers at a local teaching hospital for those patients who might die alone. Karen is a natural health and wellbeing tutor, and therapist. Karen runs a small health and wellbeing clinic from her home in Pontypool and actively teaches the therapies that she offers in her local community. Karen is qualified in various styles of massage, aromatherapy, ear candling, reflexology, herbalism, diet and nutrition and crystal therapy. Karen became interested in Metaphysical Sciences through a colleague and felt that the Metaphysical degree courses helped to give balance, expansion and credibility to the knowledge that she already had and has gained through studying at the Metaphysical University.
I was a founding member of the Coven of the Appalachian Mountains, the first Coven to be recognized as a denominational organization in the state of Virginia. We received that distinction, as well as federal recognition as a 501c3 religious nonprofit, in April of 2022. Currently, I sit as High Priestess and President for this council. Additionally, I am the President of the Virginia Black Hat Society and an Affiliate Chair for the National Black Hat Society.
My goal in all of these roles is to provide a safe community for people of all faiths to gather, respectfully discuss ideas and beliefs, and work towards achieving religious understanding and equality.

Most of my income producing years have been spent in the business world. During that time, I also raised two sons and acquired a large extended family. During a crisis time in my life, a therapist asked me if I was “spiritual.” My response was that I did not participate in any organized religion, to which she replied, spirituality and religion do not necessarily mean the same. This moment encouraged me to investigate my own personal spiritual role in this complex world.
I had already earned a Masters in Social Science Research from CSU, Chico CA, so when I was inquiring about the program at UMS, I knew full well the amount of study and writing that would be required to obtain a PhD. Dr. A. Rodell Severson (Rodell) has a Bachelor of Science with Honors in General Science and Engineering from the US Air Force Academy where he Majored in Foreign Area Studies specializing in the Far East and was the student-in-charge of the Foreign Area Studies Major and founder of the Multi-Cultural Committee/Total Awareness Cultural Committee. He Minored in Chinese (Mandarin) as well as Japanese. In addition, he was a two-sport intercollegiate athlete, instructor pilot, student government, and earned the highest athletic grades in Academy history. He later earned a Master of Arts in Diplomacy specializing in International Conflict Management and Resolution from Norwich University School of Graduate Studies. As a Senior Fighter Pilot/Instructor Pilot in the USAF he holds professional and technical degrees in various fields such as System Engineering and Aerospace Management. In addition, he earned an MBA from Webster University Graduate School and was awarded Co-Outstanding Graduate and Valedictorian and went on to become an Adjunct Professor for Webster teaching management and leadership classes (including the MBA Capstone course) at Walmart HQ and in Fayetteville Arkansas. Through the University of Metaphysical Sciences (UMS), Rodell earned a Bachelor in Metaphysical Sciences, a Masters of Divinity, is ABD for a PhD in Parapsychology and Paranormal Sciences, and has a Doctorate of Divinity specializing in Spiritual Counseling. Rodell had numerous roles in the US Military/Government. Some examples include: Logistics Maintenance and Operations Commander, Senior Fighter Pilot/Senior Instructor Pilot, Special Operations Ground Combat Commander, Chief BALO/JTAC, Acting Senior Advisor to the Iraqi General Staff, and Life Support Commander.
Rodell founded his own multi-series, multi-state private business in 2001 and continues on as the Executive Director/CEO and Chief Consultant through present day. He typically enjoys General and Executive Management the most, but has consulted on a vast array of projects everywhere from small business startups and family financial planning to being given control of approximately $1Billion to build the Iraqi Air Force, from the ground up, with his teams.
Thanks to the encouragement of his mother and his first minister, Rodell has been an active student and sharer of metaphysical knowledge since a very early age. He was raised in a Western Methodist Church, surrounded by a community of multiple religions and ethnicities from across the world. Combined with an outstanding Public Education System with some of the best students, teachers, coaches, and staff that a person could hope for, Rodell was exposed to a much larger world and encouraged to study things that he didn’t understand.
After it was discovered that military members/students/cadets were being mentally, emotionally, and physically abused for not attending church services at the US Air Force Academy, Rodell propositioned senior leaders and was given special status in 1994 as an Acting All-Faiths Chaplain in the US Air Force. Appointed by the Head Chaplain at the US Air Force Academy, Rodell created a program where any person who wanted to attend his all-faiths service (which is actually the core intent of any US Military Chaplain) would be freely welcomed. In addition, he worked out a deal with the Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish Chaplains (as well as the Islamic group, which did not have a Chaplain in residence at the time) where any interested person could freely attend service and be able to ask questions of the Chaplains involved… without fear of social retribution or threat of forceful conversion.
Rodell’s quest to understand the history of religion, civilizations, and humanity has driven him to seek knowledge in the best of academic institutions and his search for spirituality (within and external to religion) has sent him all over the world and down many fascinating paths. He furthered his spiritual studies by completing the Seminary Course sponsored by the University of Florida and the Unitarians in 1998-1999 in Tampa, Florida. He graduated, but chose not to take ordination at the time. He did continue his role as an Acting All-Faiths Chaplain between combat missions with JTF 1-501 in the Khowst region of Afghanistan in 2003-2004, recognizing that the true role of the Chaplain was to provide spiritual support to all people, despite religious labels… after all, the physical bombs/bullets didn’t care if they were hurting a Christian, Pagan, Heathen, Buddhist, or non-believer, etc. Rodell continued his studies, bringing him to places like the Monroe Institute and Remote Viewing Classes (RVIS Inc.) and amazing scholars/teachers/mentors like Debra Chesnut of the Four Winds Foundation, Lt. Col/Dr. Smith, Major Eddy, Zecharia Sitchin, Dr. William Buhlman, and Dr. Bart Ehrman (among many others). Rodell found a sense of peace and purpose in these studies, realizing that learning history and truth did not have to change a person’s faith. In addition to sending a few more books/articles for publication, Rodell will continue consulting and hopes to open a Spiritual Retreat and Learning Center in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Northern New Mexico.
